It was fun doing an interview for Barcelona based Dodho Magazine, which focuses solely on photography. They also publish several different photography hardcover books in addition to their print magazine and online features.
When I was contacted by Dodho regarding an interview, they requested a photo of myself and suggested one where I’m holding the COLOR AWARDS 2024 hardcover book that they published. One of my photos, “In the Moment” is featured in the book.
So on a Sunday morning, I kept my red and black checkered lounge pants on, slipped into my Snoop Dogg sneakers and went out back and sat in the corner to have my picture taken.
Lorraine, my girlfriend was happy to help out and she was actually the one that told me to keep my lounge wear on (I don’t take credit for styling). Turned out to be a good call as I’m color coordinated with the book and the red contrasts very nicely with the green weeds. Not to mention the dappled light we got at that time of the day creates a lovely feel and finalizes the image.

I’m fortunate enough to have a couple other associations with Dodho Magazine. My photo series, Horrified B-Movie Victims was featured on the Dodho website as well as my photo series, Don’t Grow Up, Dress Up.
In addition to the COLOR AWARDS 2024 book, I was featured in the PORTRAIT AWARDS 2025 hardcover book with my photo, “My 80s Clothes: Spring Break 1989” a self-portrait where I’m wearing a t-shirt I bought during spring break in Palm Springs in 1989 and my Cazal 627 Mod sunglasses I bought in 1988.
