Do they take siestas in Paris? I’m not sure. But if you’re in Paris you probably don’t want to spend too much time sleeping. There might be one or two things you want to see 🙂 I was thrilled to have two photos featured in the exhibition Kiff Urban Fest 2026 at the Kiff & Marais Gallery in Paris.
My photo (above), Naptime, along with Bus Stop (below) were the two photos in the exhibition. However, one problem I have with Bus Stop is that I need to definitively decide once and for on the title. I keep going back and forth between Bus Stop and Hollywood and Vine Bus Stop. The short version is concise but then again I like the second title since it’s more descriptive. What do you think? Send me a message with your take and I’ll buy you a coffee. Or at least, give you a firm virtual pat on the back.

Naptime was shot in San Juan, Puerto Rico when I was there for a wedding with my girlfriend. I loved San Juan, it’s small, lively, walk-able with a photo opportunity it seems on every corner. When I saw this kid sleeping in her carriage around a corner in the shade with her mom, I quickly took the shot.
I’ve always like this photo but it was pretty much forgotten until recently. I’m glad it has received some recognition.
Bus Stop (or Hollywood and Vine Bus Stop) was more or less an after thought. I was shooting my photo series, 1950s Hollywood in 2025 with the model Nefertara. The idea for the series was to recreate photographer Earl Leif’s photos he took in 1957 of an actress around the intersection of Hollywood Blvd and Vine Street.
After we got all the shots for the series, we headed toward our car and stopped to take a few pictures at this bus bench. Her boyfriend joined her on the bench and of course I started shooting.
It’s been in a couple art gallery exhibitions, won a few awards and was even a photo of the day on Flickr’s Explore page.
